Beacon Hill does rock, and so do our friends over at Beacon Arts! Besides collaborating with us on the Beacon Avenue Artwalk and the Jefferson Park Jubilee, Beacon Arts does a world of good producing concerts in the Garden House and on the Maestas Festival Street, as well as sponsoring everything from theatre to poetry readings to square dances. So much of the work they do helps drive customers to our local businesses. A great example will be this Saturday, as bands, vendors, volunteers and neighbors gather for the second-of-the-summer Beacon Rocks from 1-5 pm. The last-of-the-summer Beacon Rocks will be on August 23rd, so save some time to enjoy our Festival Street. Next year, as construction begins on the Plaza Roberto Maestas, the concerts may move to a new location. Visit www.beacon-arts.org to find out how you can help Beacon Hill’s growing arts organization.
