I’d say the Tree Lighting and Posada event held on El Centro grounds (and co-sponsored by Beacon Hill Merchants Association) was a big draw for community tonight! So many came out to celebrate and enjoy the lights, music and food. Big cheers to everyone involved in planning the evening at El Centro de la raza and to all of us for making the evening special.
I’m sure you’ll see pictures posted in the coming days but here is one to enjoy now. The image below shows Seattle Fandango Project during their La Rama performance of ‘Naranjas y Limas’ led by visiting artist Patricio Hidalgo from Veracruz, Mexico.
Don’t miss them on Beacon Hill when they perform again on 12-17 as part of the traditional Mexican Posada starting at The Station 5pm and ending at El Quetzal 8pm.
